Before you start, survey your garden to remove any obstacles that could hinder your Automower, such as rocks, twigs, and other items. Remember, Automowers are designed for maintenance cutting; if your grass is over 10cm, trim it with a conventional mower first.

Select a central location for your charging station to ensure easy access for the Automower. Place it on level ground, shaded from direct sunlight if possible. Consider buying protective housing if you can't avoid sunlight. Also, locate the station away from sprinklers and near a power source.

Charging is straight forward: dock the mower in its station. A full charge usually takes between 80-100 minutes. Depending on your garden's size, you should proceed with the next steps while it charges.

The boundary wire defines the mowing area, keeping your Automower within its designated space. Install it by securing the wire into the ground around the perimeter and around obstacles to form "islands" the mower will avoid.

The guide wire helps your Automower find its way back to the charging station efficiently. Connect one end to the station and extend the wire to a distant part of your garden. This setup ensures the mower encounters the wire when its battery is low.

With the mower charged and wires in place, it's time to personalise your settings. Input your security code and adjust the cutting height and mowing schedule based on your lawn's current state and your preferences.
