Delivery
At Balmers, we aim to dispatch all in-stock orders the same day if placed before 2pm. Items on our website will display as either "In Stock" or "3–7 Day Delivery".

In Stock: We aim to dispatch these orders within 1–2 working days, often the same day.

3–7 Day Delivery: These items are typically ordered directly from our suppliers, which may result in a longer dispatch time. If we anticipate any further delays, we will keep you informed.
While we strive to dispatch orders promptly, courier delays may occur during busy periods. All delivery estimates are approximate and should be treated as such.
What delivery options we offer
Delivery services are based on when your order is received and dispatched. If items are not in stock, delivery timeframes apply from the date of dispatch.

DPD Next Working Day Delivery: For orders over £100 within mainland Great Britain, we ship via DPD Next Day as standard.

Royal Mail Tracked: For smaller items and orders under £100, we offer Royal Mail Tracked 24 or 48 services.

Before 12pm Delivery: Need it urgently? Order before 12pm on a weekday and choose this option for delivery before 12pm the next working day (mainland GB only).

Saturday Delivery: Order before 1pm on Friday and select this option for delivery on Saturday.
Local Collection & Delivery
Live nearby? You can collect your order from our depots in Burnley or Wakefield. Choose “Collection” at checkout, and we’ll contact you when your order is ready.
For larger orders over £2,000, we offer local delivery within 30 miles of either depot.

Delivery Surcharges
We deliver most items to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, and Islands. However, large items (e.g. long-reach hedge trimmers, ride-on toys) cannot be shipped outside mainland Great Britain.
If a surcharge applies to your order, we’ll contact you after purchase. For an accurate quote beforehand, feel free to contact us. Deliveries to these areas may take longer, often sent via a 2-day service and handed to local couriers, which can prevent precise delivery tracking.

We can deliver to forwarding companies, but Balmers GM Ltd is not responsible for any loss or damage once the order is handed to them.
After You Place an Order

You’ll receive an order confirmation email.

Once dispatched, we’ll email you again with tracking information.

All deliveries require a signature. If you're not available, consider having it sent to a work or friend's address, or provide safe-place instructions at checkout (done at your own risk).

If you miss the delivery, the courier will leave a calling card. They’ll attempt re-delivery twice. If unsuccessful, your order will be returned to us and a re-delivery charge will apply.
Delivery Exclusions

We do not ship fuel — collection only.

Ride-on mowers, lawn tractors, and auto-mowers are excluded from free UK mainland delivery on orders over £150. Local delivery (within 30 miles of Burnley or Wakefield) is available.
Packaging
All our machinery is brand new, but it may not arrive in the manufacturer’s original box. Some items are shipped in bulk packaging or repackaged for safe transit. This is standard practice. Contact us if you have concerns.
Important Notice
If your delivery is damaged or incomplete:

Refuse the delivery or sign as "DAMAGED"

If items are missing, sign as "SHORT DELIVERY"

If unable to check contents, sign as "UNCHECKED"
It's your responsibility to ensure these actions are taken at the time of delivery. Issues cannot be resolved once goods are signed for incorrectly.
All courier-related damage or discrepancies must be reported within 2 working days via email or phone. We cannot accept responsibility for any issues reported outside this window.
