GZ3 Tiller

Grillo rotavators are used for tilling even very hard and stony soil to a considerable depth.

The GZ3 tiller is a reliable, compact, and safe machine, ideal for tilling hard soil even in tight spaces. Equipped with forward and reverse gears, an 80 cm-wide, 6-star tiller, and a powerful Honda GCV170 engine, it handles various soil conditions effortlessly. The tilling width can be reduced to 57 cm or 35 cm by removing 2 or 4 stars. For added safety, the GZ3 features an active coupling device: pressing the handlebar lever activates the tines, and releasing it immediately stops them while keeping the engine running.

DESCRIPTION

To achieve optimal results with the tiller, always turn the spur to the front, which reduces effort and ensures effective soil processing. A first pass breaks the surface crust, while a second pass tills deeper. Removing the side discs allows for deeper penetration in hard soil, particularly useful on slopes for models 3500 and 11500.

Tilling depth is adjusted by raising or lowering the spur. A higher spur position shifts the balance forward, making the machine move easily without deep tilling, while a lower spur position keeps it steady, enabling deeper soil penetration. Side discs help balance the machine and outline the tilled area. On soft soil, they prevent tilled soil from covering new plants, ensuring smooth forward movement. For hard or wet soil, use without side discs for greater depth.

The handlebar height and position adjust easily with levers, and the 166 cc, 4.8 HP engine provides ample torque, allowing slow tilling at 80-90 rpm or faster at up to 155 rpm. Features include robust steel mudguards, a protective front bumper, an automatic locking front wheel, a durable aluminium gearbox, and an extension kit with six banks of tempered steel tines for up to 28 cm depth.
