Stihl MSA 220 TC-O Top Handle Battery Chainsaw

The MSA 220.1 TC-O is STIHL’s most powerful cordless top-handle chainsaw and the ideal choice for removing pieces of trunk, crown correction, or removing dead wood.

An upgraded version of the MSA 220 T & TC-O, this chainsaw has exceptional cutting performance - the highest of all STIHL top-handle chainsaws - and other features including more torque, a lighter weight and Power Boost technology. 

The MSA 220.1 TC-O has 10% more torque compared to the previous model. It can also be used with the AP 200 S, which provides a lighter weight - improving the user experience whilst working. Power Boost technology allows the chainsaw to draw from the battery's peak electrical output (1.8 kW) whilst offering a standard output of 1.25 kW. 

The chainsaw has an oil sensor on an LED display which gives the user a warning when the chain oil level is low. It also has an electronic trigger system with an unlock button for simple saw activation, which leads to easy operation and the LED display on the top handle also shows information on the operating status of the chainsaw, as well as the chain brake position. It is compact and perfectly balanced in its design – when used with the AP 300 S battery, it counterbalances the guide bar for effortless control and reduced wrist strain.

With an easy-to-clean air filter for long service life and optimum engine cooling, excellent cutting performance, side-mounted chain tensioning, tool-free oil tank cap, captive nut on the sprocket cover. Fitted as standard with the 1.3mm 3/8” P PS3 saw chain and Light P04 guide bar for increased performance.

Like most AP System tools, the MSA 220.1 TC-O is IPX4 rated meaning it can be used in all types of weather conditions.

With a fully charged AP 300 S battery, the MSA 220.1 TC-O has a working time of up to 24 minutes. The AP 300 S battery provides the best balance to weight ratio for the MSA 220.1 TC-O. For a longer working time of 34 minutes, you can use the AP 500 S battery - although this will affect the balance.

Must be used with AP 200 S / 300 S / 500 S battery for full performance.
