Stihl Battery KombiSystem Working Times

Designed for those who want a tool that can do everything, the Stihl KombiSystem can be personalised to any gardens needs. Whether its needed for hedge trimming, grass trimming or clearing up there will be a kombi tool attachment to do the job.

While petrol was once the be all and end all of gardening equipment, battery machinery is now matching in terms of performance and popularity. Battery KombiSystems are designed so they mirror the abilities of there petrol counterparts and come in both entry-level models and more professional styles.

Kombi tool attachments are made so they can be fitted to most of the engines within the KombiSystem range. This means that no matter the engine being used you'll get the benefits of using premium professional-standard tools to create a perfect finish.

Like with all battery tools, the working time of each battery KombiSystem will depend on the battery and setting being used. However, the working times for each kombi tool attachment can vary between kombi units. This could alter which kombi tool is selected to start a KombiSystem.

KMA 80 R

The KMA 80 R is the entry-level battery-powered KombiEngine and is a part of the AK System of battery tools. Recommended for use with the AK 30 S battery, it has a working time of up to 50 minutes. Compared to the entry-level petrol KM 56 RC-E, the KMA 80 R is a quieter alternative with lower vibrations and gives off no emissions during use. Named Best Garden Tool in the Ideal Home Garden Awards 2024, it can be used with all KombiTool attachments apart from the smaller FSB-KM bent shaft grass trimmer.

KMA 120 R

Part of the professional range of KombiEngines, the KMA 120 R is designed for use by landscapers and gardeners who are using different tools throughout the day. Recommended for use with the AP 300 S battery, it has a working time of up to 100 minutes. Fitted with the new style loop handle, the KMA 120 R has a powerful brushless EC motor and 2 different speed settings giving a multitude of speed adjustments depending on the KombiTool being attached. The KMA 120 R is compatible with all KombiTools apart from the FSB-KM.

KMA 135 R

Designed for professional users, the KMA 135 R is a powerful battery-powered KombiEngine for those tough gardening, landscaping and maintenance tasks. Recommended for use with the AP 300 S battery, it has a working time of up to 100 minutes. The loop handle design makes tackling tasks on uneven terrains easier then before. With a brushless EC motor, the KMA 135 R has 3 different speed settings which can be infinitely varied by the speed adjuster on the control handle. The KMA 135 R is compatible with all KombiTools apart from the FSB-KM.

KMA 200 R

The most powerful of the battery-powered KombiMotors from Stihl, it has around 50% more power then the KMA 200 R and is specifically designed for professional users taking on the most demanding gardening, landscaping and maintenance tasks. Recommended for use with the AP 500 S battery, it has a working time of up to 56 minutes. With the new loop style handle, the KMA 200 R has a quick mounting system allowing for adjustment for a more ergonomic working position. With a brushless EC motor, the KMA 200 R has 3 different speed settings which can be infinitely varied by the speed adjuster on the control handle which benefits from an LED display. The KMA 135 R is compatible with all KombiTools apart from the FSB-KM and FS-KM, for mowing tasks it must be used with the FSS-KM grass trimmer attachment.
